Cheesecake. YUM.

San Antonio Temple

This last week was great :) and not so great :( all at the same time.
Remember in school when someone would get in trouble, but because the teacher had a stick up their bum, everyone in the class got in trouble whether with homework or "laying" our heads on the desk? Well Military training in like school. There was an "incident" with two trainees (a girl and a boy...let your imagination go) and because of the incident, everyone was put on Lockdown ( I hate Lockdown). Jake couldn't come off the base for two night because of it. Luckily the instructor pulled the stick out by the third day and let them go off base. :)
Lockdown was the not so great part about this week.
The great part was on Saturday when we finally made it to the temple after about 4 weeks of planning and then having them legitimately fall through.
It's beautiful there and now one of my favorite temples (Salt Lake still holds Numero Uno!). It's on top of a hill too so you can see over the whole valley of San Antonio, which is rare because Texas is so FLAT! I really miss the mountains in Utah.
After the temple it was time to get wet! So, we decided to go swimming at the pool here on base. It was a lot of fun because we went with Kyle, Whitney, and little Pepper.
Pepper was not afraid of the water at all! I've never seen a 1 year old go completely under the water and come up laughing! She was great and a real trooper.
Swimming can make a person hungry, so it was time for dinner and we went to the amazing Cheesecake Factory! I've been there once but it was so long ago, I forgot how good and amazing it is. It's so good, that Jake who hates cheesecake, LOVED the cheesecake and was talking about wanting more all through sacrement today and I had to keep shushing him. ha ha.
We had to wait for 1 hour before we got seated, but it was worth it. Pepper licked the plate of the cheesecake after her parents were done eating it. It was really cute!
We have had so much fun here in Texas, but we only have a week and a half left until Jake graduates and we are so excited to come back to Utah and see our family and friends!
We  will then head off to Maryland where we will live for the next 5 or so years! We are so excited!!!!
