Our little Adventures.

Life is better when there is someone to Love it with and Enjoy it with.

I can go through my days by myself and have so many things to do, but not enjoy it as much as I would if Jake was with me. I guess that's because he is my better half and together we make anything interesting and fun.

Last week Jake was still in training in some unknown location so I decided to take a 2 1/2 hour drive to Houston to see family. Like I said, when Jake is with me, anything is fun. This trip wasn't the funnest I believe because My hubby wasn't there to entertain me. I came back though with some new treasures that I am sure I will have in my family for a long time to come. One thing I am excited about is my dads grandmother was a seamstress and had this sewing table. Well, I was able to get the sewing table that still has her sewing machine in it with all her materials still in the drawers. Also, my dads grandparents were christian missionaries in the Philippines and brought back some really neat stuff back in the 40's and now they are mine. So, I guess the trip wasn't a waste and was worth my time after all.

I would say what Jake was doing, but really I don't think I'm supposed to. Ha ha ha.

When Jake got home on Friday we had a wonderful dinner and then watched the amazing movie Tangled. It's one of our favorite Disney movies. Jake will just start laughing, and when he is asked what he is laughing at, it's something he is remembering from the movie. Ha ha, it's cute. I could watch that movie over and over again.

Saturday was an amazingly fun day.
We went to Barnes and Nobles first where Jake bought me a new book called Water for Elephants, it's a new movie coming out and I wanted to read the book first, so He got it for me :) he also bought himself a book, some war book. Then we went to Michaels, and because he thinks I need to craft something he bought me something to do. He was so cute in there, picking out things that he thought would be a good craft idea. I got letters that say EASTER and paint, and little oval wood cut outs to paint as eggs. It'll be cute when it's all done with. It was off to the mall after that to look for a dress for me for spring because he said he wants to keep the tradition from both our families of getting a new spring dress every spring. He is so amazing. I didn't find one this time, but we'll keep looking.

That evening we went on a double date with Kyle and Whitney (and Pepper) to the Natural Bridge Caverns. It was so awesome! We went 180 FT underground and saw some pretty amazing things. Some things in this world amaze me, and this was definitely something that amazed me. I suggest to anyone that comes to San Antonio to go on a tour there. We couldn't touch anything while down in the caverns, but man was it tempting. I felt like a 5 year old in a toy store that was told not to touch a single thing...Very Difficult.
After we got done with the tour, we went to dinner at a mexican restaurant called Chuys (pronounced Chewys). Not going to lie, it was the best dang mexican food I have ever had and that is saying something considering Mexican food is my favorite and I always eat it. Oh my gosh I was in heaven and I will be going back there. Best part about it, it was really CHEAP! Oh, it's such an amazing feeling when you eat great food and then get the bill back and you even feel great about that.

Jake and I had a great weekend together. I love our weekends because we are doing things that are fun and new. Today he had to go back to training, but thankfully he will be done with it on Friday and I'll be able to see him on the week days after that. I love him so much for who he is and what he is doing for our family. I couldn't have asked for a better husband.

About to go into the Cavern

Right outside the opening to the Cavern.

Grendel sat on Jake :(

This is a little bit of what we saw in the Cavern.
