Slacker? I think Yes. :)

I believe the word to describe my blogging ability is SLACKER! ha ha. I just noticed that the last time I posted was on February 17th. Well, a lot and not so much has happened since that time.
First, let me brag and talk about my amazing hubby because I love him oh so much.
  • He got Marksman on 2 more guns and was rewarded a star to go on his Marksman Ribbon.
  • He became a "White Rope", which means he has a leadership position with all the religions on the base. Good thing to have for ranking.
  • He is in the running for a job opportunity to work in Maryland :) *Fingers are crossed*
  • And last, but not least, He is so handsome it gives me butterflies.
I just love him so much!

Now, to talk about our life and what is in the happenings.

I finished my schooling with TATC and went on to an Externship in Sugarhouse at the Memorial Clinic. I LOVED IT! I learned so much, and met some amazing wonderful people. My favorite was the 60 yr old LPN that I worked with. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. While working there, I worked with a Dr. Pepper and Dr. Hart. I wanted to ask them on multiple occasions if they became doctors just because of their last name. I had to do some crazy stuff there, and had some experiences I never want to do again. Ha ha.
I left Utah 3 days after my Externship ended and came to live in Texas. I love it here. 80 degrees everyday, plus the biggest bonus of all is I get to be with Jake!
Training is hard because he is still on some resrictions. For example, my first weekend here we had to stay on the base and he wasn't allowed to be in civilian clothes. He also has a curfew on the weekdays of 9:00 PM. This last weekend, luckily, we were able to go on a date and spend the weekend together without any curfews!
I loved our first date together! We haven't had one since December. I went and picked him up from work, we then went to the movie "Red Riding Hood", and I learned that my husband needs to learn movie manners all over again (they dont teach that in BMT). Oh, he kept talking and I had to slap him about 5 times to get him to shut up. Ha ha. After the movie (which we really liked), we went to dinner at a place called Cheddars. Utah doesn't have it yet, but oh my goodness it was so good! One of the best places I've been to. Jake was in love with the cheese fries (fries, cheese, bacon, and ranch). It was the perfect date.

Unfortunately, this week hasn't been so great. Jake had to leave Sunday for a training camp that will be 3 weeks long. I'll see him on Saturdays and Sundays, but thats it for 3 weeks. I've been sick all week with different illnesses. Today I actually woke up throwing up! I haven't done that in so long. Good thing I have an amazing brother who heard me and came to my aid. I hope I am better by Saturday.

So that is the life of Jake and Courtney as to date. We haven't had too many adventures yet, but they are soon to come...I promise. :)

Our Red Riding Hood look :) Scared and worried.

Oh I love how Dorky he is.

Jakes amazing wonderful cheesefries that he downed. ha ha.

Our first Date since december. :) What a wonderful day.

I'll Love you forever
