So since it's the end of February I have decided to write about all the lovey dovey things that happened to us in this month.
So, basically, I Love My Husband.
At the beginning of the month I decided to write love notes to Jake every day telling him why I loved him so much and what made him so perfect for me. He leaves for work at about 4:00 in the morning so I would write them the night before and leave them in his lunchbox. Well, turns out he did the same for me. So now we have even more love notes to add to our collection.
We went on a date the friday before Valentines just for fun, but it wasn't the "Valentines Day" date. We celebrated that the next Saturday. On Valentines Day Jake had to work and I had to work. Jake got home around 3:00 that day, but had a lot of homework. I got home around 5:30 and was so tired, but when I asked Jake what he wanted for dinner he said "Heart Pancakes!!"
( I know it's sideways, but I'm too lazy to change it)
That is my attempt to a heart pancake. Ha ha.
I made bacon to go along with the pancakes and we had a wonderful breakfast dinner. After we ate dinner, I decided to frost a heart cake that I had made a couple days before. I made the frosting with cream cheese.
If you need an amazing frosting recipe and don't know how to make it. 8 cups powder sugar, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 stick butter, and vanilla. Then add food coloring. It's Amazing.
Well, while I was making the frosting, Jake was doing his homework, and I got bored.
So this is what happened....
It comes out a lot better than paint.
This is my heart cake. It was turned the other way but it's not uploading correctly. And I'm lazy to figure it out.
It was an awesome actual valentines day, but our date didn't begin until that Saturday.
Jake had work until about 2:00, so I stayed home and cleaned until he got home then he got ready and we were off.
He didn't tell me anything the whole time we were on the date and I was so surprised with everything we did!
First we went to the base MWR and got the Segways that they have there! It was so much fun, but being me I had to crash and burn. I now have 3 HUGE ugly bruises on my leg because I thought going down a hill would be easy like Jake made it look. Wrong-o. I would post pics of the bruises, but they are really ugly, and about mid-thigh. Man o Man though they hurt.
Jake said I look like I'm from the future...
After the Seways, Jake drove us to the movie theater that is about 10 minutes away and we went to the movie "This Means War". OMG it is hilarious!!! I laughed the whole time and I mean stomach hurt I was laughing so hard. I love Reese Witherspoon too. It's a great movie. After the movie we had to grab some ice cream of course from Cold Stone that was across the street. :) Yum.
Right after eating our yummy Cold Stone we went to Olive Garden. Oh I love Olive Garden. It's pure amazing. Jake got the usual Tour of Italy, and I tried a new dish that I can't remember what it is called, but it was good.
Yum
Well, what I thought was the end to a amazing perfect night, wasn't. Jake had one more thing up his sleeve. We went bowling at the base bowling alley after we ate dinner and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
I love bowling and it's so great that I have one that is less than a minute away from my home.
We had a blast.
Well, because we are old people we had to call it a night after that because Jake had work the next morning and church was in the morning for me.
It was a perfect day.
This whole month has been amazing.
Yesterday we continued our love month and went to the National Harbor and walked around the beach area and then went down to the boats that are docked there. All this happened during sundown and it was perfect.
Tomorrow, in honor of leap year, we are going to watch the chick flick "Leap Year". It's one of Jakes favorite chick movies, and I like it a lot so we are going to eat god homemade popcorn and chillax.
I love my Jake. Because he will forever be mine and perfect.
I'm not looking forward to May. At. All.
Hopefully from May until December the year 2012 will go by fast.
If I'm away from him at work, and I get thinking about it, all I want to do is grab my keys and go home to him because I'm already starting to miss him.
:(
But I'm also happy, because he is happy. He is ready. He knows what he is doing. And he is smart. He will protect his country. His fellow men. And himself.
I'm very proud of A1C Worthington.
:)
