Ghetto LiFe!

Wowzers! Look at me! I totally skipped a month and a half of blogging! I think it's time I update on what the happenings are in Jake and I's life.
First of all, yes the title of this post is "Ghetto Life". Why? Because Jake and I live in the ghetto/straight up gangsta/Imma shank someone - neighborhood.
Well, technically we live on base, which is really nice and pleasant and I love it. BUT straight outside the gates is terrifying. Never ever go outside by yourself in the bad areas of D.C and Maryland. Especially at night.
Anywho! So life for the past month and a hald has been busy and went by really fast!
My last post was about how we went to Ocean City. Well the rest of the week following Ocean City was literally Hell on earth for me. My sunburn lasted all week and I swelled up so bad I couldn't even recognize myself. It was really sad, but mostly just pathetic because I couldn't do diddly squat for myself and poor Jake also had a sunburn, but was a tough man about it while I cried and bawled so he ended up having to take on my roles in the family and his own. I have such an amazing husband.
August came and went. I worked and Jake worked. We went to dinner at friends houses and they came to ours.
Finally September came - and went. It seems like yesterday was the first day of September, but no yesterday was September 30th, and today is the first day of October. For two weeks of September I was in Utah with my family while Jake stayed here in D.C because he couldn't take leave :'( so sad. The first part of September was good though. I was working full time, and Jake was -and still is doing really well at work. The Saturday before I came home I chopped my hair off for shock value to the family and friends. Not only did I chop it off, I dyed it brunette. I was going for the Alice Cullen look from New Moon (I have to clarify which movie, since it's different in each one), and I think the stylist really pulled it off. Jake loves and my family loved it too! My mom couldn't get over how cute it looks on me and for the first time ever is okay with me not being blonde! For real, Mom?

Being in Utah was so much fun. I was able to see so many friends, and spend A LOT of much needed time with my Dad and Mom.
List of things I did in Utah/ Idaho/ California
  •  Went to my first ever Vollyball game for my cousin Hailee. Whoohoo go Huskies!
  •  Went to Homecoming for Grantsville and saw a bunch of people from high school there (not going to lie, totally got the First Day of School Sick to Your Stomach feeling) like: Alexa and Eric Allred, Tiffany Bushman, Steffani Rowley, and Dakota Coon. And a bunch of other people.
  •  Saw my Grandmama and loved it! She is one of my most favorite people. I love her!
  •  Hung out with my Worthington Family. :) The little ones have grown up so much, and it was so good to see baby Harli for the first time. I hope Jake meets her soon. She is so cute!
  • Took some pretty amazing pictures of Sophia, if I may say so myself. (Yes, I am finally starting a photography business)
  • WENT TO DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  •  Went to Disneyland!!!!!
  •  Went to DISNEYLAND!!!!
  •  I think you get the point that I went to DISNEYLAND!!!! It was for my sweet little Sophias 4th birthday celebration. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel, ate lunch with Ariel and the princesses, got to see all the Halloween decorations, went to the Huntington Beach (My FAVE), and we (my family) totally had an amazing time.
  •  I love disneyland
  •  Shopped at Tai Pan (had to put this in because it's my FAVE home decor store)
  •  Had dinner with two amazing close friends Tara Phillo and Heather Ritz. I love those girls so much. Glad I know and will always know who my true friends are and will be there forever.
  •  Hung out with my best friend - My Mommy.

So basically the two weeks I spent in Utah were amazing and I loved it and I had a perfect time, BUT my home is where my heart is, and my heart happened to be in D.C and it was time for me to go back to it. Man, did I miss that boy or what? It was so good to see him in the airport holding a sign that said "Baby Girl" and a rose. I love him so much.
That was Wednesday. Thursday came and it was back to work until the end of the week. My house literally looks like a bomb went off because I haven't had time to unpack properly. Oh well, that's why I am a night-owl I guess.

So that is our life leading up to now. I'm going to be blogging more, since I don't like to facebook anymore so if I randomly have blogs on here about random stuff or whatever, feel free to check them out. :) It wont always be about our boring life. :)

Here are some pictures of our life.
Daddy and Mommy.

I guess since I'm not blonde anymore I'm no longer Tinkerbell/Cinderella?
Screw that! I'm always tink the stink and cinderash

She really looks like the cartoon Cinderella to me.

Love Mickey
