Harry Potter, Cupcakes, and Life :)

Jake and I have been loving it here in Washington DC so far. The only downer is the heat! Oh my goodness can it get hot! And because of humidity, when it's 108 outside it really feels like 120. It's ridiculous! It's not even fun to go outside. But we manage on some days and make it a point to leave the air conditioned house.

The last 2 weeks have gone by pretty fast.
We went to Harry Potter midnight showing last Thursday, and we LOVED it! I feel as if my best friend just moved away and I will never see them again. I will miss the Harry Potter movies so much. I can still remember the day when I read Harry Potter by myself in school. We had it read to us in the 3rd grade, but when I was a big 5th grader, I wanted to read it myself. I was hooked after that. I have read all the books at least 7 times. I know them front to back and could probably win any trilogy game on Harry. I used to also be obsessed with Daniel Radcliffe! Like obsessed (luckily that died down when I hit freshman year of High School) enough to make an album about him. I am so sad because it is all over. I will be having Harry Potter marathons a lot at my home. And my children better love it! Next Spring Jake and I are going to Hogwarts land (Universal Studios) and totally going to geek out there! I am so stoked for this trip! Hello Hogwarts!!!! mmmm

After Harry Potter night we spent the weekend being LAZY. Friday night we watched our neighbors kids while they went to Harry Potter and then Saturday was just another stay in PJs watching movies day. Love those days. We seem to have a lot of them these days.

This week I applied to about 50 different jobs. 99% of them being to family practices. On Wednesday I had landed me a interview, and by Thursday I had landed me another interview and by Saturday night I had landed me a job. BUT I'm not going to accept the first one until after I have this other interview to see which one I want more and which one is better suited for me. Both are very good and both will be very beneficial for Jake and I.

Saturday was a way fun day for us. We went to Georgetown, DC. Ever heard of Georgetown Cupcakes? Well they will be having their own TV show on TLC. First episode was filmed today. Anyway, Jake wanted some cupcakes and I'm not going to lie...I did too. So we went to Georgetown and I found out it is now one of my favorite places in DC. So cute! And my new favorite fashion store is H & M . Ah! Can't wait to get some cute winter clothes from there!
The cupcakes were FABULOUS! Call us oinkers, but we had 3 each. Jake had 2 Peanut Butter Fudge cupcakes, and a coconut. I had a Peanut Butter Fudge, Mint Chocolate Chip, and their famous Red Velvet. SOOOOO YUMMY!!!!! If you ever come to DC you have to go there!

Jake started his first day of work today (Sunday) so that meant I had to go to church by myself. It wasn't too bad because we have these awesome neighbors that are in our ward that are around our same age and because Jake was gone, they kind of took me under their wing. The ward here is different than a ward in Utah, but I am adjusting and because the Lord works in mysterious ways...I will learn something from this experience. And yes, it is an experience. Hopefully I get put into a calling with the primary so I'm with our new friends, but if I am needed somewhere else then I will of course go there.

Well, that is all for the last couple weeks. Jake and I will be having more free time this week together so maybe there will be more interesting stuff to post.
Love you all that read this. Because I know it's really only my Mom and Mom in law :)
