Here is the scoop of what has happened the last 2 weeks.

1. I turned 21 (whoop whoop for being an official adult!)

2. Jake and I had our 1 year anniversary =)

3. Eve has gotten fat and is growing!

4. Our movers arrived and now we have a couch to sit on!

5. Jake got me the most amazing gift in the world - I'll get to it later on

On my birthday we had a great time. Jake had to go to work at 6:00 in the morning, and I informed him that since it was my birthday I wasn't waking up until the good clock in my head said to. Our movers had arrived the day before my birthday so that left me with so much to do. I worked hard the whole day Jake was at work on getting the house put together. When he got home finally around 5 I was ready to go. Poor guy, he had been pepper sprayed at work and was having a horrible time with his eyes, but he didn't want it to ruin anything on my day so he stuck it out and said it didn't bother him. (I felt bad because I could tell him eyes were killing him).

He told me to leave the room while he got my birthday present wrapped then when it was time, I went downstairs and saw one single bag. I was so excited to see what my husband had gotten me because this year he was going to surprise me with a gift. He has really never done it before because I always guess. Ha ha.

So I read the card of old men (no joke), and then proceeded to open the gift and this is what I found!!!!

It's a Nikon D5100, came with one lense, but Jake also got me another.

I am so stoked!!!!!! I have been saving my pennies for a new camera like this! For some time now I have been wanting to get going with my photography, but you can't really do so with a dinky little point and shoot camera, so this is exactly what I need to get started. AH! He is the most amazing husband ever! Best part is, I had no idea! We've been talking about me saving for one for so long that I never dreamed he would go out and actually get me one!

After I opened my new camera and got a look at it, we decided to go to dinner, I wanted to take the camera, but it wasn't charged so it had to stay home. Dinner was at olive garden. Best place ever. mmm breadsticks. It was great because Jake was still in his uniform so everyone there was wanting to shake his hand and thank him for his service, it made me one proud wife to stand next to him. I am so grateful he is who he is. After dinner we went home and had birthday cake!!! I chose to have the funfetti cake and it was a great choice! It was so good, Jake had 5 pieces the first night and it was gone by the next. Ha ha.

That weekend was our anniversary! June 26th 2010 is when I married my best friend and I can't believe it's already been a year! We had a lot of unpacking to do, so we decided to stay home and unpack our new home instead of going anywhere. Our wedding day last year was so wonderful. I don't think I have ever blogged about it. Well I'll save that for my next post so this one isn't freakishly long! ha ha.

Luckily We have officially gotten our home all put together. I still have some picture frames to hang, but for the most part we are 98% finished. I'll give a blog tour of my home when I get all the pictures.

It's been crazy the last 2 weeks with everything; being moved in, Jake working, me trying to find work, and taking care of a puppy. All is going good though in the capitol of the country. We love it here, it can get scary sometimes, but if we stay away from the scary parts then it is great!
